All Students:
All of the required paperwork and presentations are found in this page. Please familiarize yourself with all of the forms needed. Even if you are attending your Clinical Orientation in-house, you must still get all of your paperwork from this page. Everything you do for Clinical Orientation is focused on the Clinical Guidelines Manual. You must print the Clinical Guidelines Manual in its entirety. You will bring the printed copy of the Clinical Guidelines Manual with you to every Clinical Rotation you attend. You can find it here:
Texas Online Students:
To reach this point you must have completed all aspects of the course up to your oral board. After your oral board, feel free to sit with the instructor and ask any questions/concerns you have regarding your upcoming clinical rotations.
Clinical Orientation Steps:
- Read through the Universal Precautions and HIPAA Presentations found in your Navigate Clinical Orientation Section.
- Complete the Universal Precautions and HIPAA Exams found in the Navigate Program.
- Read through your Clinical Guidelines Manual in its entirety
- Complete the Clinical Guidelines Exam. The Clinical Guidelines Exam is designed to be a viable alternative to attending the in-house Clinical Orientation. You must score a 100% on this exam. If you score less than a 100%, you must take the entire exam over again. Every question is taken directly from your Clinical Guidelines Manual, so use it while answering each question. The Clinical Guidelines Exam is found in the Navigate Program under “Clinical Orientation.”
- Next, print the RCHS Infection Plan, watch the CDC Donning and Doffing Video, then print and sign the Clinical Guidelines and Confidentiality Agreement. You must turn the Clinical Guidelines Acknowledgment and Confidentiality Agreement to your assigned instructor. The items are listed here:
- Once all steps are completed, a review of your paperwork will be done by the RC Health Services Administrative Staff. Once confirmed that all of your paperwork is turned in, you will be cleared for your Oral Board.
